Vincent J. Mortillaro, born December 31, 1940 entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2013, at his recent home in Metairie, LA. Vincent was a long time resident of Harvey, LA. Vincent served his country honorably as a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps. He retired from Bell South Services in 1998. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Roselyn (Rose) Hingle Mortillaro, he was the loving father of Anthony Vincent Mortillaro and Angela Rose Mortillaro. Near the end of his life, Vincent was surrounded by so many family and friends as he went through the pain of cancer and other physical sufferings. God saw he was getting tired so he closed his eyes, took his hand and whispered, "Vincent, come with Me." With tearful hearts we watched him fade away. His generous heart of gold stopped beating, and his tired body came to a peaceful rest. Vincent joins his sister Carmella (Ann) Mortillaro in eternal rest along with his parents the late Joseph Mortillaro of Independence, LA, and Angeline Rizzo Mortillaro of Kentwood, LA. A Remembrance of Vincent's life will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 7:00 pm with visitation from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
