A self-employed instrument technician, he died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at 9 a.m. in Donaldsonville. He was 87, a resident of Donaldsonville and native of Paincourtville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served with the Submarine Corps in the Pacific. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Tuesday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Phil Spano, celebrant. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by numerous cousins, including four first cousins Emile E. Landry III, C.A. "Gus" Landry, Albert J. Landry and Larry D. Landry. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Joan Manarik Achee; and parents, Leo Paul and Florence Dugas Achee.
