Funeral services for Anna Jo Sarah (Sally) Savage Gullatt, 84 of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 4, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Warren Eckhart will officiate. Interment will follow at Gullatt Family Cemetery near Simsboro, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Gullatt was born December 29, 1928 in Wyatt, LA and passed away October 1, 2013 in Monroe, LA. She was a retired school teacher and received a B.S. in Education from Louisiana Tech in 1949. Mrs. Gullatt taught sixth grade in Calcasieu, Jackson and Iberville Parishes. After retirement from Iberville Parish Schools, she taught several years at St. John Catholic School in Plaquemine, Louisiana. Mrs. Gullatt was an loving mother & grandmother, an avid gardener & wonderful cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Ted Gullatt; parents, Malory Houston Savage and Sarah Annie Moffett Savage; brother, Zach Robison, Jr.; brother-in-law, Harrell Gullatt; sisters-in-law, Etta Dean, Margie Johnson, Jessie Fielder and Milledge Ledbetter; Mrs. Gullatt is survived by her sons, Thomas J. Gullatt and wife Denise and John M. Gullatt and wife Angela; grandchildren, Emily Gullatt Byrd and husband Taylor Byrd, Ryan Gullatt and fiancé Morgan Romero, Madison Gullatt, John Bailey Gullatt, Kinsley Gullatt and Brooks Gullatt; sister, Carrie Sue McClure and husband Glynn; brothers-in-law, William Gullatt and wife Gloria, Jap Gullatt and wife Patsy, Sam Ledbetter and wife Jane; sister-in-law, Mildred Gullatt; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ryan Gullatt, John Bailey Gullatt, Brooks Gullatt, Taylor Byrd, Aaron Branch, Blaine McClure and O. G. McClure. Memorials may be made to Methodist Children's Home, 901 S. Vienna St., Ruston, LA 71270. A special thanks to: Sitter Connie Kelley, The Hospital Staff of St. Francis Medical Center, including Skilled Nursing Unit and St. Francis Specialty Hospital and Physicians of St. Francis Hospitalist Department and her fellow church members of Lea Joyner Methodist Church and family friend Bob Bell. My prayers and sympathies to all of the family. Mrs. Gullatt was my 6th grade teacher at E.J. Gay School. I remember her kindness and attentiveness to me as well as all of the students. May she rest in peace.
