Barbara Wilbert Chatman

A retired cook and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center. She was 62. Visiting at Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 3059 Gracie St., on Monday, May 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at the church Tuesday, May 3, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Robert London, pastor. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Amicha Chatman and Ateia Chatman, both of Baton Rouge; sons, Enricho Wilbert, Arthur Chatman Jr. and wife Regina, all of Baton Rouge; sisters, Gwendolyn W. Phillips and Lynetta Wilbert, both of Baton Rouge; brothers, Clifford Wilbert St., of Baton Rouge and John Scott, of Mississippi; a godsister, Audrey Joseph, of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren, Tyrone Isaac and Arthur Chatman III. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Chatman Sr.; parents, Isadore and Irene H. Wilbert; brothers, Samuel Dunn and Clionel Wilbert, who was of Baton Rouge; and sister, Ruby Forrest.
