Brent Joseph LeBlanc, a kind and thoughtful soul, was born September 27, 1976 in Baton Rouge. He passed away on December 21, 2013 as a result of a tragic boating accident after spending the day doing what he loved. Brent spent his career as a pipefitter for various industrial area contractors. He is survived by his daughter, Natalie LeBlanc; parents, Edmond and Pam LeBlanc; brother, Raymond LeBlanc and sister-in-law Melissa LeBlanc; nephew, Caleb LeBlanc; niece, Rachel Zatta; grandparents, Ruenell and Everett Estep; Lisa and Francisco Zatta; the entire Scott family; cousins, Jodie LeBlanc, Jason Helton, Jeremy Gautreau, and Kristi Vick Godal; aunts and uncles, Daniel and Vicky Ivey, Doug and Kathi Alford, David Ivey, Mervin and Annie LeBlanc, Barbara and Morrison LeBlanc, AJ LeBlanc, Margaret LeBlanc, Betty and Ron Tullos, Barbara and Weldon Nugent; other cousins, and many friends. Pallbearers are Jeff Raybon, Todd Daigle, Jason Helton, Jeremy Gautreau, Clyde Bordelon, Barry Ivey, Konnor Jeansonne, and Gene Golson with honorary pallbearers, Josh Scott and Blake Ivey. Brent had a heart of gold and was often referred to as "the guy who just called to say I love ya." He never met a stranger and will be missed by so many. This world was a better place because he was in it and heaven gained an amazing angel. Our heartfelt thanks to the search and rescue team, as well as the volunteers who searched diligently throughout the night for our sweet Brent, so that we may bring him home. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge 70815, Thursday, December 26, 2013, from 5pm to 9pm. Visitation will resume Friday, December 27, 2013, at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 9am followed by the funeral service at 10am. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
