A resident of St. Amant, God called His little buddy home on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Carson was 5 years old and was born to Rohn & Tabitha McDonald Marchand on September 30, 2007. He was born with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy and fought the good fight. Carson was a brave and happy little boy and a blessing to all who knew him. He also leaves behind the best big brother in the world, Chase; paternal grandparents, Cleveland Jr. & Diane Marchand; maternal grandparents, Billy & Sharon McDonald; maternal great grandmother, Naomi Holland; aunts and uncles, Paul & Lisa Marchand, Danny & Donna Iverstine, Angela Venable, Billy & Kim McDonald, and Glendon McDonald; and numerous cousins, other family and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Cleveland Sr. & Herminie Marchand; Velpeau & Gertrude Smith; maternal great grandfather, Donald Holland and maternal great grandparents Jessie & Helen Huddle. Pallbearers will be Paul Marchand, Billy McDonald, Jeff St. Amant and Shane Gonzales. Visiting will be at Healing Place Church, 19202 Highland Rd Baton Rouge on Tuesday, March 12th from 9 am until services at noon, officiated by Pastors Mike Haman and Ken Spivey. Burial to follow in Hope Haven cemetery. Special Thanks to the first responders of St. Amant and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital who showed great sincerity and compassion through this difficult time. Thank you to all our friends and family who have loved our little boy over these past years. Our cup runneth over.
