Charles Carter Cain went home to be with the Lord at 9:50 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge at the age of 72. He was the founder of Carter's Supermarkets. He was a resident of Walker. Visitation will be held at Revival Temple Church in Walker on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Walker Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Edna Lockhart Cain; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Gina and David Strange; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Crystal Cain and Stan and Anjel Cain; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Janet and Bobby Foster and Betty Lou Delatte; 7 grandchildren, Trenton and Megan Strange, Calyn, Carly, Cara, Chloe and Bradley Cain; mother-in-law, Alice Lockhart; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeannette and Wayne Sibley, Gail and Donnell Miller, Terry and Clint Lockhart, Meredith and Pete Lockhart and Reginald and Deborah Lockhart. Preceded in death by his parents, D.W. and Ella D. McLin Cain; grandchild, Jarrett Cain; brothers, Stanley, Carl Dennis and Cleveland Cain; sisters, Dot Kennard and Winnie Quinn. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lockhart, Brian Lockhart, Tony Quinn, Brannon Miller, Aaron Ellis, David Sibley and Clay Lockhart. He was a member of Walker Baptist Church.
