Pastor Christopher Curman Chauvin, born December 25, 1955 and died on December 5, 2012. It is not a religion, it is a relationship. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and PawPaw. He enjoyed life itself, especially leading others to the Lord, singing, playing music and cooking. If he could help someone in need he would. He was a member of Belle River Baptist Church in Belle River, La. He was also a retired worker from J & C Machine Works of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, JoAnn Chauvin; seven children and six granddaughters, Tiffany and Aaron Cernuska of Belle Rose, Tiesha and Jason Sanchez of Belle Rose, Toby "T.J." and Lauren Chauvin of Thibodaux, Daniel "T-Coon" and Amber Chauvin of Grey, Melanie Chauvin and boyfriend Randy Gaudet of Bayou Vista, and Alyssa Chauvin and Avery "Coon mutt" Chauvin; brother, Everett Chauvin of Chauvin; and sister Louise Lapeyrouse of Chauvin. He was preceded in death by his parents Curman and Genevieve Chauvin; grandparents, Charles and Olga Chauvin and Renaé and Justine Duplantis. A special thanks to a longtime friend and doctor, Charles Thompson, for all that you have done. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. until Religious Service at Community Worship Center in Paincourtville at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Belle River Baptist Church Cemetery in Belle River.
