Delicious "Pete" Peters

A resident of Denham Springs, he departed this life Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 76. Visiting at House of Praise, 13900 J.R. Drive, Walker, the Rev. Floyd Dixon, pastor, Friday, Dec. 16, from 6 a.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by Pastor Ronell Williams. Dismissal at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Interment in Gospel Temple Church Cemetery, Pine Grove. He is survived by his wife, Dianne T. Peters, of Denham Springs; three daughters, Debra Malbrough and husband Joe, of Sunset, Carla Williams and husband Pastor Ronell, of New Orleans, and Sophia T. Barton and husband Arthur, of Baton Rouge; five sons, Kelvin Peters and wife Lynette, of Houston, Gregory Peters and wife Karen, of San Jose, Calif., Darrell Peters and wife Gloria, of Denham Springs, Gary Peters and wife Angel, of Walker and Robert Lee Thomas and wife, Bianca, of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Alvana Head, of Walker, Lilly Allen, of Baton Rouge, and Ethel Magee and husband N.C. Jr., of Columbia, Miss..; four brothers, Zeb Peters and wife Sonja, Gerald Peters and Joseph Rome, of La Marque, Texas, and Wilbert Peters and wife Pattie, of Baton Rouge; an aunt, Ethel Abram, of Oakland, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a goddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
