Dominique Martez Smith also know as "D Martez" was born on August 12 , 1979 to the parentage of Tommy Brown and Gloria Jean Smith of Baton Rouge ,LA. He departed this life on October 27, 2013 at Our Lady Of the Lake Regional Medical Center Baton Rouge, LA at 4:25 am. Visitation will Sunday Nov. 3, 2013 at Hambrick's Family Mortuary, Gonzales, LA 3 pm - 6 pm and Monday , Nov. 4, 2013 from 10 am - 11 am religious service time at Word of Life Christian Center, Darrow, LA, Conducted by Dr. Leroy Thompson , Pastor. Interment 1st Mt. Carmel BC , Sunshine, LA. He leaves to mourn his beloved mother, Gloria Jean Smith and Father Tommy Brown of Baton Rouge, La. (2) sisters Shavonne (Alvin) Nelson, of Baton Rouge, La. and Takanya (Geraldo) Spencer of Mesquite, Texas. (3) nephews : Xavier, Zaylen, and Isaiah Spencer of Mesquite, Texas, a niece Natasha Noel Smith (1) uncle, Felton (Delores) Johnson (2) great uncles James Patterson of Baton Rouge, LA and Huey P. Flemings, Garyville, LA. five aunts Geraldine Refuge, Joyce Ambrose, Perry Lynn Jackson all of St. Gabriel, LA, Lizzie Mae Colman and Betty Johnson, Baton Rouge, LA; two great aunts Leontine Jones, St. Gabriel ,LA and Jessie Porter, Portland OR; two Godmothers Maggie McNeely, Baton Rouge, LA and Vetta Lee Tatney ,St. Gabriel, LA , Godfather Wilbert Lee Ausbon , St. Gabriel, LA special friends Tangelina Loffin, Ebony Lathan, Yolanda Rogers, Anthony Rozene and Albert Will all of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Melvin and Marjorie Johnson, great grandfather, Louis Flemings, four uncles : Melvin, Sr., Leroy, Sr., Alvin and Calvin Johnson: three aunts: Lucille Lodge, Yvonne Johnson, and Barbara Jean Johnson. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High Class of 1997. He was employed at Louisiana Workman Compensation in Baton Rouge, La.
