Edd Brueck, Jr., 88, died on Saturday, March 22, at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans' Home in Jennings, LA from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, a 1942 graduate of Istrouma High School, attended Southwestern Louisiana State University, and was retired from Georgia Pacific Corp. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific on the attack transport ship, USS Carlisle APA 69. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Craig Brueck, sons Buddy and Bryan Brueck and wives, Anita and Kathy, and a daughter, Bonnie Brueck Blake. He is also survived by 1 grandson, 5 granddaughters, 6 great-grandchildren and by his sister Gayle Brueck Hearn, husband Mack, and by brother-in-law Herbert Hooper. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lou Collins; father, Edd Brueck Sr; mother, Rhoda Whittington; sisters, Virginia Lee Brueck and Joy Ann Hooper. His body has been donated to the LSU School of Medicine. There will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date. Donations to your favorite animal welfare or charity will be appreciated.
