Etta Dorothy "Dot" Agee, a retired cook with Road Runner Truck Stop, went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, April 11, 2008, at 1:50 p.m. She was 82, a native of Bankston, Ala., and a resident of Galvez for the past 38 years. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, April 14, from 10 a.m. until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Johnny Rogers. Interment in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Sue Jones, of Prairieville; three sisters, Frances Burns, of Galvez, and Freddie Ward and Mary Chappell, both of Winfield, Ala.; two brothers, Dewey Ward and Gary Ward, both of Winnfield, Ala.; four grandchildren, Crystal and husband Scott Wellerman, of Hallsville, Texas, Rachel and husband "P-Nut" Simoneaux, of Galvez, Lisa and husband Joseph Whittington, of Livingston, and Lynn and husband, U.S. Marine Lee Lewis, of New Jersey; and eight great-grandchildren, Jessie, Dylan and Jessica Simoneaux, all of Galvez, Zak and Trey Wellerman, of Hallsville, Texas, Hunter and Kelsie Whittington, of Livingston, and Alyssa Lewis, of New Jersey. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gregg; son, W.H. "Sonny" Hough; and parents, Chalmer and Bertha Dobbs Agee. Pallbearers will be Scott Wellerman, John Hull, Jessie Simoneaux, "P-Nut" Simoneaux, Joseph Whittington and Mark Aucoin. The family wants to give many thanks to Amedsys Hospice for all of their loving care in our time of need.
