Fred L. Hutchinson, "Bilbo", a resident of Jackson, LA, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was a former employee of the East Louisiana State Hospital Maintenance Department where he worked for over 30+ years. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10am until services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Ed Jelks. Burial will be in the Jackson Second Baptist Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kattie Lanehart Hutchinson; two daughters, Clovia Bunch and her husband Jimmy of Weynoake, LA; and Gwen O'Carroll and her husband Jerry of Ethel, LA; one son, Wesley P. "WP" Hutchinson of Jackson; 12 grandchildren: Wesley Hutchinson, Adam Kirksey, Amie Brown, Krystal Kirksey, Robert Rogillio, Jonathan Rogillio, Rusty Hutchinson, T'Lane Wesley, Bekki Jordan, Joshua Hutchinson, Rodney Louque, and Fred Louque; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Hutchinson and Etta Lewis Hutchinson; one sister, Ruby Hutchinson Bryant; and great grandson Dalyn Mycle Slocum. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Monroe Foster, Robert Walker, Berton Rogers, Jack Darsey, Dennis Wisner, and W.H. McCarty.
