Daigle, Ivy Lee A retired insulator with Local 53 and a resident of Gulfport, Miss., he died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at his home. He was 61 and a native of Plaquemine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War who received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. Religious service was held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home chapel, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, conducted by Dr. Jeff Parker and Doyle Daigle. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Daigle; mother, Beluah Daigle; two daughters, Stephanie Hernandez and Kimberly Ellis; three sisters, Pat Summeral, Baton Rouge, Lois Easley, Baker, and Iola O'Conner, Woodstock, Ga.; two brothers, Pete Daigle, Baton Rouge, and Doyle Daigle, Marietta, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Justin and Chérie Hernandez, Kaleigh, Kelsey, Kortney, Kassidy, Fhoenix and Faizon Ellis. Preceded in death by his father, Jessie Daigle; a daughter, Sherri Lynne; and a son, Ivy Jr. Pallbearers will be Tom Willis, Dalton Willis, Justin Hernandez, Chris Summerlin, Kenny West, Jason Hernandez, Frank Ellis and Julius "Boogie" Daigle.
