A resident of Woodville, MS and native of Hazelhurst, MS he passed away on Saturday, Mar. 2, 2013 at Baton Rouge General. He was 78, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired grocery store owner. Visiting at Woodville Baptist Church on Monday, Mar. 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Mar. 5 from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor Rob Muncy, Rev. Eugene Case and Bro. Warren Whitaker, Jr. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Ford Herrington of Woodville, MS; one daughter, Patti Curry; three sons, James, Bud and Bob Herrington; one special stepson, Kevin Livingston; two sisters, Ella Brorson of Big Fork, MT and Bonita (Bill) Baldwin of Parker, AZ; three brothers, Preston (Liza) Herrington of Albuquerque, NM, Lester (Bette) Herrington of Brandon, MS and Rev. Higdon (Helen) Herrington of Winona, MS; eight grandchildren; and one special step granddaughter, Kristen Livingston. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bobbie Mathis; and parents, Preston Boyd Herrington and Ella Corrine King Herrington. Pallbearers are Mac Fletcher, Wayne McDaniel, Gene Lofton, William Mathis, Les Herrington and Russ Ford. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Habig, Douglas Bell, Lawrence Seguin, Billy Felter and Jamie White. He was of Baptist faith. Arrangements with Newman Funeral Home, (601) 645-5753.
