Dear Julie, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your husband and your children's father, Rob. I knew him as "Robbie", when we were children. Between the ages of 8 & 16 we spent every summer together in the same bunk, at camp. Tho' we did not keep in touch when it closed, whenever I look back on that part of my life, Robbie ALWAYS comes to mind. We shared wonderful adventures together as boys and when I picture him, I hear his boisterous laugh and see his smile...which filled his entire face. You just couldn't help but smile also. I am grateful he was a part of my life. My love to you and your family.

On behalf of the Caledonian Society of Baton Rouge, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Rob's family. He was a man to be admired, a, Christian, a U.S. Marine officer, husband, father, pilot, law officer, and bagpiper. He will be missed and remembered.
We know that we will see him again as we all await that "blessed hope".
But lo! there breaks a yet more glorious day;
the saints triumphant rise in bright array;
the King of glory passes on His way.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

Rob, Since you are flying and piping for our Heavenly Father, I thought you'd like to know what a wonderful memorial service we had. The church was standing-room-only. Two pipe bands and a drum corps. Brother, I assure you: there was not a dry eye there when the lone piper began Amazing Grace. It won't be easy, but we'll carry on! Semper Fi

Good-bye Rob. I enjoyed all the conversations. I am recalling how your gracious bagpipe playing added so spiritually to the many memorial services we attended on the "Long Ride." The mission will continue with memories and honor of your own special contributions. Your organ donation decision further inspires us to recall your generous spirit. Rest in peace.

I will always remember how quickly Rob reached his amazing level of accomplishment on the Bagpipes – always pleasant to the ear. I once thought that maybe one day he would be there playing in the background for me on my day…Surely, he will be missed by many….

Rob always said he was a below average guy trying to do an above average job. Those who knew him well got to see how above average he really was. I will always have fond memories of our good times together.
