Jonathan Michael Wilmore, 30, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at his home in Walker, LA. Jonathan was a graduate of Broadmoor High School and LA Vo-Tec, specializing in computers. He served his community through the Boy Scouts in a leadership role and he served his Lord at The Ring Community Church and on numerous mission trips to Mexico. He also ran the lights for his church and was very much a part of greeting the members and visitors and making them feel very welcome. Jonathan loved everyone, never met a stranger and gave the best hugs. He never gave up on finding a way to accomplish the impossible and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at Parkview Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Josh Causey. Survived by his mother, Avis Wilmore; uncle, Jay Bradshaw; aunts, Diana Wilmore Fendley and Ina Cox; Godmother, B.J. Sommers; and his friend and "best dudette", Maria Salpietra. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilmore; grandparents, Roy and Doris Wilmore, Sam McCaa, and Mildred Ames; great-grandmother, Lela McCaa; and uncle, Carl "Uncle" Gilmore. A special thank you to The Ring Community Church for loving and embracing Jonathan, Dr. Schiffman at Baylor Medical Center, Maria Salpietra for giving him opportunities of a lifetime, B.J. Sommers for her years of devotion, Dennis Bourg for his patience and his love and Outpatient Oncology at Our Lady of the Lake. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com.
