She was especially known for her open-mindedness and generous spirit. She instilled in her children the love of adventure and world travel. Juanita always had a sense of justice and compassion for others. She always exhibited progressive thinking and was an avid reader. Her diverse interests included opera, ballet, singing, tap-dancing, sewing, crafts and yoga. Juanita kept active throughout her life by playing softball, tennis, racquet ball, and jogging in Audubon Park. She and her husband, Don, enjoyed cooking and preparing new recipes. Juanita's particular passion was baking. Her many cakes and pies were favorites of family and friends. Children on Arabella enjoyed Juanita's special "freezie" cups on hot summer days. Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Don, daughter Kay, and 6 siblings.
