Our precious Dee Dee, 83, a native of Plaquemine and a LASERS retiree, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation will be at Wilbert's Funeral Home in Port Allen on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen, on Monday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by Monsignor Robert Berggreen. Burial at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by her children, Kent and wife Kathi, Randy, and Lorrie and husband Scott Simpson; 10 grandchildren, Stacey Milton, Mimi Julian, Kris Allain, Stephen, Garrett and Brittni Allain, Josh, Jenna, Jessica and Jordan Simpson; eight great-grandchildren, Morgan and Tori Julian, Payton and Paige Milton, Connor and Ruston Allain, and Kole and Kallie Allain; brother, Bennie Richard; and sister, Myrtle Haydel. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Willie; parents, Charles and Oneilda Richard; and eight siblings, Beanie, Tugar, Julia, Helen, Margaret, T-Luke, T-Boy and Joseph.
