Ms. Mary Ellen Busby, 68, lost her long battle with cancer and went home to our Heavenly Father on January 26, 2013. Mary Ellen, born September 1944, was a life time resident of Liberty, MS. Memorial will be held February 9, 2013, at Riverwood Family Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS. Visitation will begin at 9am followed by the Memorial service at 12 noon. Services will be officiated by Brother Ernest Whittington of Liberty and Brother Mark Wicker of Tylertown. Preceded in death by her parents, the late Richard K. and Mary Street (Davis) Busby; her grandfather, the late Lee Busby; all of Liberty. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Lee Stringer and wife Janice of Summit, MS; one son, Ricky Stott and wife of Centreville, MS; one daughter, Donna Stott Holman of Jackson, MS; six grandchildren, Austin Whittington, Nicole Roberts Klug, Charles Stott, Christopher James Lee Stott, Taylor Holman, and Steven Holman; two nieces, Sherry Stringer and Missy Holmes; two nephews, Jimmy and Todd Stringer. She was also survived by sixteen great nieces and nephews; and nine great-great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Earl Wayne Ravencraft, Jerry Toler, Jerry "Bruce" Bates, Rocky Reid, Morty Reid, J. Lynn Aaron, Robert Barrow, and JeWayne Ritchie. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Lewis, David Anderson, Dr. Will Austin, Dr. David McGraw, Tim Perkins, Cliff Barrow, Tim Wroten Sammy Kirkland and Larry Dean Dixon. Lifelong friends include JoAnn Swearingen, Linda D. Baker, Anna Graves, Doris Reid, Martha Lynn Ivey, Donita Dixon, and Sylvia Barrow. Special friends include Bobbie Harrell, Wade Alford, Missy Anderson, Angela Bates Carithers, Michelle Roberts Wilson, Misty Anderson, and Dawn Talbot. Special ones she called her own are Christian Ducote, Jessica and Tristan Vicellio, Sidney Bradley, Carrie Leblanc and Hunter Hooge. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of StaHome Hospice of Jackson, Ms, and Hospice Compassus of McComb, Ms. Also, a very special thanks to Angela Bates Carithers of Brookhaven, Ms. Friends and family may choose to send flowers and/or make donations to the Lymphoma Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research.
