A resident of Plaquemine, he passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his home. He was 51. Visitation at New St. John Baptist Church, 59075 Barrow Street, Plaquemine, LA on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Rev. Marques A. Braggs. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. He leaves to cherish him memories: His loving Wife: Norma Powers Hines; two loving children: Michael Hines, Jr. and My'Khael Normanic Hines; father: Novell (Laura) Brown, seven sisters: Bobbie (Willie Sr.) Brown, Gloria Myles, Celestine Hollins, Carolyn Robinson, Marie (Maurice) Jones, Juanita Askins, Cassandra Valentine; four brothers: Percy, Randolph and Joseph Hines and Patrick Brown; seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law: Odeal (Gerald, Sr.) Jackson, Thomas (Vanessa) Powers, Jr., Alma Powers, Dave, Joseph and Floyd Powers, Stephanie (Ceasar) Shenier, Carolyn Street, Bobby Powers, Charlene (Stephen) Robertson, Kelvin (Tammy) Powers, Muriel (Earl) Young, III and LaToya (Wardrick) Wessinger; three aunts and one uncle: Ora Mae Hines, Mary Lee Christophe and Reverend Sanders (Mary) Wilson, Jr.; two God-Children: Paula Y. Hines and LaTandria Powers; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Askins; sister; aunt: Mildred Walker; brothers-in-law: Percy Askins, Donnell Powers, Willie Robinson and Henry Myles, Sr.
