Michael Ray Allen was born Feb. 24, 1988, to the union of Almalleca Allen and Claude Valentine Jr. Michael was a resident and native of Baton Rouge and attended Broadmoor High School and later Louisiana Technical College. Michael loved working on cars and was employed at Portabello's Restaurant as a cook. He departed this life on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at age 23. Visiting at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., on Saturday, April 30 from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Robert L. Ray. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Claude Valentine Jr.; loving mother, Almalleca Allen; brother, Timothy Allen and wife Whitney, of Gonzales; sister, Lacreesha Allen; two nieces whom he loved dearly, Lynzie Allen and Samaria Royal; grandmothers, Almeana Smith and Dorothy Miller; godbrother, Derrick Coleman Jr.; godsister, Passion Knight; 13 uncles, eight aunts; a loving girlfriend, Brittany, and daughter, Breell Ware; and a host of family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Willie Allen Sr., Benjamin Smith and Claude Valentine Sr.; and uncle, Carlos Valentine.
