Patsy Ruth Crosby, 73, of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on March 21, 2014. Patsy enriched many lives all over the world for Jesus Christ through her teaching and music. The memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. on April 12 at Istrouma. Baptist Church. Pastors Jeff Ginn and Mardy Guidry will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-3 P.M. prior to the service. Patsy was born in Big Springs, TX on August 26, 1940. She graduated from Carmine High School in Carmine, IL and continued to receive a BA in music education from USL. Patsy was married to George Crosby on November 29, 1986. They were married for 27 years. Patsy is survived by her husband George Crosby Jr., sister Sarah (Segrest) Dews, brothers James Segrest and Charles Segrest, and children, Cynthia Sanders Vincent married to Don J. Vincent II, Susan Sanders Birkenmeier married to Guy Birkenmeier, Rachael Crosby, and George Crosby IV married to Kiersten Crosby and 8 grandchildren. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Cora Segrest, first husband Jack Robert Sanders, and grandson Blake Matthew Crosby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Love In Action, 12345 King Charles Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 or St Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
