ACOSTA, PAUL FRANKLIN A retired employee of McDermott Inc. and a resident and native of Plaquemine, he died at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. He was 69 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, celebrated by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by his wife, Jeanne Gauthé Acosta, Plaquemine; a son and daughter-in-law, Erick Paul and Tara Bujol Acosta, Plaquemine; two grandchildren, Grace Mercedese Acosta and Preston Paul Acosta; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ann Conaway, Port Allen, Amelie and Jim Port and Manette and Paul Waguespack, all of Baton Rouge, and Fayne and Bobby Knight, Plaquemine; a sister-in-law, Margaret Acosta, Brusly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon Willie and Ivy Landry Acosta; and a brother, Thomas William "Bobbie" Acosta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or the GIFT Campaign at St. John Church.
