A retired operator for Trinity Marine, he died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at his home in Plaquemine. He was 63 and a native of Plaquemine. Memorial service at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine, on Thursday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Matthew Dupre. He is survived by a son, Frank Allemond, of Plaquemine; two sisters, Gloria Berthelot, of Prairieville, and Leona McMorris, of Holden; five grandsons, Trey and Andy Allemond, of St. Amant, Taylor Allemond, of Baton Rouge, and Dillon and Nicholas Allemond, of Plaquemine; and stepgranddaughter, Layne Coker, of Central. Preceded in death by his wife, Marvel Guillot Allemond; son, Ronald P. "Ron" Allemond Jr.; parents, Leon and Eunice Dias Allemond; maternal grandparents, Frank and Faustine Dias; and paternal grandparents, Ovide and Olivia Allemond. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to the casino. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the grandchildren's education. Arrangements by Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine.
