""I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith"" Timothy 4:7 Samuel Jean Comeaux Jr., 81 of Walker, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on September 23, 2013. He was a 1950 graduate of Istrouma High School. He served his country honorably as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was active for 23 years serving in North Africa, Vietnam, Guam, Thailand, and Korea. He later retired from Exxon Chemical Plant in 1989. After retirement he was a board member and chairman of the Board for District 5 volunteer Fire Department in Denham Springs for 10 years, and was a member and Deacon of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 8 AM to 11 AM. A military graveside service will follow conducted by nephew Kyle Comeaux and Reverend Tom Cody. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ina Claire Williams Comeaux, Son, Greg and wife Pam Comeaux of Denham Springs; Son, Michael and wife Jennifer Comeaux of Walker; Daughter, Robin and husband Andy Harris of Walker, Sister, Jessie and husband Louis Matherne of Baton Rouge, Brother, Dr. Guy Comeaux and wife Blaire Comeaux of Houston, TX. Sam was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Jean Comeaux, his father, Samuel Comeaux Sr., his mother, Virginia Easton Comeaux, and his brothers, Virgil Comeaux and Tommy Comeaux. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Shene' Armand, Matt Comeaux, Kaci Comeaux, Tre' Comeaux, Jayme Conrad, Kayleigh McDonald, Christopher Comeaux and Jessica Marshall and great grandchildren; Lilli Griffin, Analise and Amelia Armand, Kinzley McCoy, Brady Conrad and James Marshall. Pallbearers will be Tre' Comeaux, Richard Conrad, Casey Marshall, Matt Comeaux, Christopher Co-meaux, and Scott Armand. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Iqbal Ahmad, Donna Tranum, Sha-melda Aikens, Deanna Rob- erts, and Chrese Pullen for their care and support.
