Sarah Allen Thomas Fasce

Fasce, Sarah Allen Thomas She was born Oct. 13, 1911, and was a native and resident of Baton Rouge for 92 years. In 2003, she moved to Charlottesville, Va., where she resided until her death on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Singletary LeBlanc; and husband, Dr. Egi Victor Fasce. She was a graduate of LSU, a member of the Phi Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega sorority and founder of Phi Gamma Chi Omega's Mother's Club. She had been a member of the Baton Rouge Women's Club, Study Club, Opera Guild, Baton Rouge Junior League, East/West Club and charter member of The Harness Club. Survived by her two daughters, Alice Fasce Odom of Williamsburg, Va., and Kay Fasce McKemie and son-in-law, George McKemie, of Palmyra, Va.; three grandchildren, Gavin McKemie of Mesa, Ariz., Estelle McKemie Rempe of Rochester, N.Y., and Robert McKemie of Rhoadesville, Va.; brother, David Thomas of Sun City, Ariz.; sister, Terry Thomas Whipple of Baton Rouge; eight great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew. A graveside service for only family members at Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge is planned for April, 2007. Friends and family members will be invited to attend a reception celebrating her life at another location following the graveside service.
