A devoted Head Start teacher, she died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. She was 33, a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, on Friday, March 1, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visitation at Fairview Baptist Church on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gus Spurlock. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by her mother, Carolyn Alexander; daughter, Sierra Marshall; son, Keon Marshall; sister, Alicia Alexander; a niece she helped rear, MyKisha Buckles; and brother, Michael Wardell Alexander. Precded in death by her father, Leroy Marshall; son, Dylan Marshall; and grandmother, Myrtle Alexander.
