Plauche, Susan Neilson Susan Neilson Plauche died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, Natchez, Miss. She was 53 and a resident of Natchez. Visiting at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel, Natchez, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, and on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial in Natchez City Cemetery. Ms. Plauche was born Sept. 8, 1951, in New Orleans, the daughter of Jack Herman and Elizabeth DeWeese Neilson. She was a member of Pilgrimage Garden Club in Natchez and the Junior League of Baton Rouge. She was very active in many community service organizations and volunteer work. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority while at LSU and later served as housemother. Ms. Plauche was preceded in death by her father, Jack Herman Neilson. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Neilson of New Orleans; daughter, Emily Maxwell and husband Christopher of Natchez; sons, Charles S. Plauche Jr. of Birmingham, Ala., and Michael B. Plauche of Charleston, S.C.; four sisters, Beth Neilson, Martha Neilson and Anne Neilson, all of New Orleans, and Margaret Arbour of Mandeville; and brother, Jack Neilson Jr. of New Orleans. Pallbearers will be Ron Jinkins, Neilson Arbour, Dennis Short, Albert DeWeese, Barry Blumberg, Steve Cavin and George Wilkinson. Memorials may be made to the Susan G.
