A lifetime resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012. He was 61 years old, a retired conductor for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and a US Army veteran. He shared a love of life with his friends and family. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with loved ones. He was a fisherman, hunter, snow skier, woodworker and carver, tennis and pool player, as well as a terrific dancer and cook. He was a selfless and loving friend, father, brother, and son who braved an unthinkable illness with honor, dignity, and courage. A man with more integrity and a larger heart cannot be found, and he is deeply missed and loved. He is survived by his mother, Argelie Gautreaux Kling, of St. Amant; daughter, Melissa Kling Cougle and husband Marc Jason, of Houston, TX; son, Corey James Kling and William Jonathan Schexneider, of Baton Rouge; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Henry Allen Davis, of St. Amant, and Diann and James "Rhino" Ryan, of Dutchtown; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilton Joseph Jr. and Linda Kling, of Baton Rouge and Don Joseph and Diane Kling, of Zapata, TX. Lynn was also very excited about the upcoming birth of his first grandchild on July 18, 2012. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Joseph Kling Sr. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a guided rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon Gonzales.
