A resident of Napoleonville Manor for 19 years and a native of Pierre Part, he died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at age 68. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, Friday, Jan. 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Clarence Waguespack, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his sisters, twin Thelma Mabile and husband Leonard, of Belle Rose, Shirley Cedotal and husband Paul, of Donaldsonville, and Catherine Berthelot. of Thibodaux; brother, C.J. Berthelot and wife Lynette Aucoin Berthelot, of Pierre Part; three nieces, Rosie Landry, Lauri Benedetto and Shelia Guidry; and five nephews, Ricky Cedotal, Dwayne Cedotal, Corey Cedotal, Rusty Cedotal and Shane Berthelot. Preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Louise Blanchard Berthelot; and sister, Rose Mary Berthelot. Pallbearers will be Travis Cedotal, Dwayne Cedotal, Corey Cedotal, Rusty Cedotal, Shawn Berthelot and Scott Guidry.
