Travis, Vickie Mae, 60, died on Thursday April 25, 2013 at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of Norwood and native of Centreville, MS. She was recently retired from Feliciana Forensic Facility. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Monday April 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Second Baptist Church in Jackson from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Marc Gregoire. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Annissa Williams Woodard and husband Michael of Zachary, two sons, Heath Williams and wife Carol of Wakefield and Robert "Pat" Williams III and wife Jilliane of Port Hudson, one sister, Thelma Whittington and husband Jerry of Jackson and two brothers, David Travis and Benny Travis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bryant Woodard, Ashley Woodard Crawford, Lindsey Williams, Leslie Williams and Lucy Williams, great grandchildren, McKenzie Harrell and Bayleigh Crawford and aunt and friend, Vivian Hawes Lukenbill. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Alford and father, Carl Victor Travis. Pallbearers will be Steve Harris, Noel Gilmore, Phillip Woodard, Keith Hawes, Garrett Tortorich and Anthony Giroir. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was her greatest joy. Friends of her children and grandchildren instantly became her honorary children and grandchildren too.
