AUCOIN, WALTER P. A retired, self-employed commercial fisherman, he died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004, at his residence in Pierre Part. He was 95 and a native of Pierre Part. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday. Religious service at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by four sons and six daughters-in-law, Wilday and Leona Aucoin, Harry and Helen Aucoin, Davis and Trudy Aucoin, Donald and Helen Aucoin, Shirley Aucoin and Delores Aucoin; three daughters and five sons-in-law, Ann and Percy Landry, Lois and Aldwyn Hebert, Mabil and Douglas Pipsair, Walter Landry and Norris Borne; three sisters, Maude Blanchard, Judy Blanchard and Alma Gaudet; a brother, Dennis Aucoin; 40 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Essie Blanchard Aucoin; parents, Jules and Angela Aucoin; two sons, Roy and Joseph Aucoin; two daughters, Mary Borne and Winnie Landry; a brother and three sisters; and a grandchild, Barry Aucoin. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
