Warren Antony Hines entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was born on June 10, 1965, in Houston, Texas to the parents, Dr. James E. Hines and Dr. Erma Waddy Hines. He is survived by his mother, Dr. Erma Waddy Hines; a step-brother, Dr. James A. Hines III; a step-sister, Dr. Gretchen Shannon; a step-sister-in-law, Dr. Revathi Hines; a godson, Joseph Welch II; and a devoted fiancée, Leah Cullins. He was preceded in death by his father and step-siblings, Terence Hines and Maggie Ellen Hines. Visitation has been set for 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, with Memorial Services, including Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; Jack and Jill, Inc.; The Links, Inc.; and Kappa Kappa Psi, Inc.; beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Hall's Celebration Center. A Holy Eucharistic Rite and Celebration of Life will be conducted by the Reverend Andrew Rollins on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Alban's Episcopal Chapel, 5261 Highland Road, Louisiana State University. Dismissal will be Monday, March 11, 2013, 11:00 a.m. Greenoaks Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The vibrant Warren completed his formative education at Southern University Laboratory School and matriculated at Southern University with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in English. He received the Masters in Public Administration from Southern, hours toward the Ph.D. at the California School for Professional Psychology and 30+ hours in Administration and Supervision at Southern University. Among a myriad of educational and administrative posts, he was most recently employed as Supervisor with Global Industrial Contractors, Dow Chemical Company.
