Maudra Elizabeth Gautreaux Townsend, 90 years old, went to her eternal home February 22, 2014 at 9:32 am at her home in Larose, LA surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a native of Gonzales, LA. She is survived by two sons, Glenn Arnold and JoAnn and Garry Arnold and Margaret; two daughters, Adveline Hebert and Ed Harris and Elena and Steve Verdin, also Kenny and Harriet White; sister, Edna Mae Lyons; brother, Manual Gautreaux; 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Francis and Adveline Marie Gautreaux; husband, Alton Earl Arnold; brothers, Allie, Felman, Sanders, and Burris Gautreaux; sisters, Felma Gautreaux, Essie Landaiche, Enid Braud, and Margaret Rowell; 2 grandchildren, Joseph Gremillion and Ashley Arnold. She was a beautiful, loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid LSU and Atlanta Braves fan. She will be missed dearly. A private service will be held in her honor. Burial will take place at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.
