A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died early Monday morning, February 24, 2014 at her home. She was 96. She is survived by her 2 children, Earl J. Baron, Jr. and Becky Baron Doucet; and 4 grandchildren: Holly Scott Seguin, Chris Baron and wife Christie, Kenneth Baron and wife Elizabeth, and Lance Scott and wife Jennifer. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren: Gabrielle and Grace Seguin, Emma, Anna, Royce Duke, Nelson, Brooks, Morgan, Madison, and Mia Bella; and her sister, Virginia Nesom Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Rose Etta Nesom; her brothers and sisters: James, Mary Rebecca, Doris, Elmer Lee, Myrtle, Henry, and Sydney; her grandson, Earl Duke Baron; and by her husband of more than 60 years, Earl J. Baron, Sr. Pallbearers are Lance Scott, Chris Baron, Kenneth Baron, Nance Nesom, Sidney Nesom, and Kevin Seguin. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, on Tuesday evening, February 25, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm. Visiting will resume on Wednesday morning at 9am and will continue until funeral service at 11am in the chapel. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
