A retired heavy equipment operator with 33 years at St. James Sugar Co-Op, a resident of St. James and a native of Lemannville. He died on March 16, 2014 at 4:10 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 83. Visiting at Demby & Son Funeral Home, Donaldsonville on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 5-8 PM. Visiting continues at Buena Vista Baptist Church, 10633 Hwy 18, St. James on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10 AM until religious services at 11 AM. Conducted by Rev. Dr. Joseph Coleman, Sr. Interment in Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Scieneaux Joshua, daughters; Cynthia Joshua (Vernett) Knight, Sherance Joshua, Caroline Joshua (Kevin) Favorite, Tracy Joshua Guy and Brandi Joshua, sons; Sherman (Vanessa) Joshua, Bernard (Charlet) Joshua, Troy (Kertrina) Joshua and Jody Joshua, a sister, Eula Lae Murray, two brothers; Rev. Sidney Joshua and David Joshua, 17 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his parents, Namon, Sr. and Florence Joshua, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
