Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at a 2:00 PM Memorial Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Erna Mae Graham, 87, who passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Cornerstone Village South in Lafayette. Jim Rogge, Elder in Congregation of Jehovah Witness, will conduct the funeral services. Left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Faye deSola and her husband, Steve; her son, Glenn Geick and his wife, Joeline; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Martha Deiss Gummelt; her husband, George Weldon Graham; two brothers; and four sisters. Born in Brenham, Texas and resident of Scott, Louisiana for thirty years. Erna Mae Graham exercised her green thumb with all of her beautiful plants and yard. She was a highly skilled seamstress and artist. She was a world traveler and enjoyed bass fishing. "Mae" was known for her famous chicken fried steak that her family loved. Erna Mae Graham was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Eva Torian, Susie Smith, Peggy Lovell, and Paula Zobel for their help and friendship in Mrs. "Mae's" time of need.
