Marshall John Laborde went to be with God on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the age of 93. He retired from A&P in 1982 after 33 years with the grocery as a meat cutter. He honorably served in the US Army from 1944-1947. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 69 years, Iris Plauche Laborde, his three daughters, Patsy Gaubert (Harry), Janelle Laborde, and Kay Maurin (Henry) as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandson. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Mass at 12:00 Noon and interment following in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 to honor Marshall's service to his country.
