Glynn passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake at the age of 79. He was a resident and native of Plaquemine, La. He retired from Dow Chemical and formerly worked at Nadler's Foundry and Plaquemine Marine. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, celebrated by Father Greg Daigle. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Jane Dupont Hebert; children, Charlotte Gautreau, Kenneth T. Hebert and wife Helen, John G. Hebert and wife Catrina Raevens, and Elisabeth Patrick and friend Darren Trahan; grandchildren, Adam Gautreau and wife Leslie, Mandi Butler and husband Cody, Jenna Cleary and fiancé Kevin Lemmon, Emily Coussou and husband Bradley, Patrick Hebert and friend Jaycee Rivet, Raleigh and Karlee Patrick; great grandchildren, Ayden and Avery Gautreau, Daxton Doyle, Aubree Bulter, Noah and Sadie Coussou; sisters, Jo Ann Hebert and Doris "Pie" Boyett; and brother, Alvin Hebert and wife Carlin. Preceded in death by his parents, A.D. "Pope" and Vivias Mary Schexnaildre Hebert; brother, Donald Hebert and wife Bobbie; and sister, Mary Alice Suarez. He was a graduate of St. John High School and was active in sports; he loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Every year he would assist in setting up the nativity at St. John Church and devoted any time that he could to the church and community. He loved to garden and raise fruit trees.
