Murray Leon Carpenter, born September 25, 1940 to Herman and Dorothy Milton Carpenter, died at 10:45pm at the Carpenter House on April 15, 2014. He was a plumber out of Local 198 for almost fifty years. He loved to deer hunt, fish and go camping. Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janice C. White and nephew Anthony King. He is survived by his wife Joan, sons, Todd Carpenter and wife Pattie and Phillip Carpenter and friend Karen Johnson, grandsons, Benjamin Carpenter and wife Sherri, Seth Carpenter and Dylan Carpenter, step grandchildren, Erica, Alicia and Josh, great grandchildren, Luke, Brantley and Kadence Carpenter, Seth and Dylan's mother Tammy Carpenter Israel, sister, Sybil C. Rockett and husband Ted and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to sister-in-law, Sherry LaBorde, nieces Angela and Jadyn King and also his niece Brenda White Fagan for their kindness and comfort. Caregivers, Donna Youngblood and Gloria Parker, good friends Judy Martin and her husband Larry Wayne Martin and a special thanks to the staff at the Carpenter House for their care.
