Wanda Sevario MarCus was born in St. Amant on April 23, 1942 and died on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 7:31pm peacefully in her home in Prairieville after many years of suffering. She worked as a substitute teacher at St. Amant Middle and then went to work for the Louisiana Senate, where she retired early from to be the very best grandmother in the world. Visitation will be held at Carpenter's Chapel United Methodist Church, 41181 Highway 933 in Prairieville, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a brief memorial service at 7:00pm, on Friday, April 25, 2014. Wanda is survived by her mother, Audrey Cannon Sevario; daughter, Stephanie MarCus Templet & husband, Bart; sons, Fred and Butch Ficklin, Robb MarCus & wife Chante', Brent MarCus & wife Mandy; sister, Connie S. Kirkwood; sister in law, Lori Aubin Sevario; brother, Joseph "Joey" Sevario III & wife, Bobbie Jane; her grandchildren, Trey, Ally & Chanler Templet, Tracy Ficklin, Layson, Hunter, Braydon, Isabella and Aubrey MarCus, and Kadin Ohmer; and her great grandchildren, Karsyn & Carter Templet, and Reece Vicknair; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe MarCus; infant son, Laison MarCus; father, Joseph "Jo Boy" Sevario, Jr.; siblings, Kermit James Sevario (infant), Byron Basil Sevario, and Nino Jo Sevario.
