Sr. Pastor Jim Henry Howard, Co- Founder of Interdenominational Faith Assembly, departed this life on Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 at his home in Zachary, Louisiana. Sr. Pastor Jim Howard was educated in East Baton Rouge Parish and was a graduate of McKinley High School. Pastor Jim Howard served in the United States Armed Forces from 1951 to 1954 and completed tour of duty during the Korean War. He was employed by Allied Chemical (Formerly Formosa) for approximately thirty years. Sr. Pastor Jim Howard leaves to cherish: four sons Reginald (Anita) Howard of Zachary, LA, Calton(Cardice) Howard of Dallas, TX, Casey Howard, and Danny(Tonya) Collins both of Baton Rouge, LA, four daughters Florence (Lawrence) Duncan of Zachary, LA, Theresa Ann Howard of Baton Rouge, LA, Lolita Howard of Zachary, LA, and Nita Morgan of Zachary, LA; two sisters-in-law, Lue Dora Simms and Janet Clark, nineteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of God children, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sr. Pastor Jim Howard was preceded in death by his wife Pastor Edith Marie Howard, his mother Nannie Guess, and three sons Jim Howard, Jr, Harold Clark, and Ulysses Collins. Viewing will be held at Interdenominational Faith Assembly from 8:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, May 3rd. The Services will be conducted by Pastors Guevara and Dr. Shannon Johnson at 10:00am at Interdenominational Faith Assembly also on May 3rd. Interment will be at Southern Memorial Cemetery. Funeral Services are entrusted to Hall Davis &Sons Funeral Service.
