Bertha Theresa Rotolo, native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away June 6, 2014. Born May 29, 1927, she was the eldest daughter of Vincenzo "Charlie" and Maggie Rumfola Rotolo. A graduate of Istrouma High School and business college, she retired from Exxon with 40 years of service. She loved sports, especially LSU football. She is survived by her brother, Joseph "Jay," and sister, Philomene; niece, Karen; nephews, Mark, Gregg, and Bryan, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. A devoted Christian and faithful Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Monday, June 9, 2014, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Visitation on Tuesday, June 10, at Our Lady of Mercy at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM. Burial at Resthaven Gardens. Pall bearers are Ian Marchand, Joseph Rotolo, Ryan Rotolo, Jacob Rotolo, Evan Marchand, Zachary Rotolo, and Joshua Rotolo. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice and caregivers, Barbara Harris, Lee Smith, and Gloria Hood for their compassionate service during her final days.
