Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at a 1:00 PM Methodist Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mary Calcote, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Entombment will be in Franklin Mausoleum. Reverend Richard Humphries, Senior Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette, Louisiana will conduct the funeral services. Left to cherish her memories include her beloved husband of 63 years, Allen Calcote; one son, Mike Calcote and his wife, Laurie; two brothers, Floyd Vincent and his wife, Lurby, and Stanless Vincent and his wife, Eva; five sisters, Mildred Patin and her husband, Lester, Grace Sonnier, Mabel Lear, Marion Landry and her husband, Doug, and Delta Meche; and her grandson, Evan Calcote. She was preceded in death by her dear son, Paul Calcote, and her parents Gaston and Corinne Katie Duhon Vincent. Mary Calcote retired after working many years as an educator with the St. Mary Parish School Board. She was a lovely homemaker who took pleasure in caring for her family. During her free time, Mary enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Mary Calcote was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
