Ella Mary Raney Blount Wheat, 91, born Dec. 24, 1922, in Hammond, LA, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at her home in Watson, LA. Ella was a house, member of Red Oak Baptist Church, avid Bible reader and loved her Sunday School class. She loved traveling and being with her family. She is survived by 11 children, Henry Blount, Norwood Blount and wife, Irma, Margaret Arnold and husband, Jr., Lydia Blount, Tommie Blount, Ollie Jenkins, Michael Blount, Lynn Williford and husband, Ricky, Wesley Blount and wife, Roxanne, Walley Blount, son, Frankie Blount and wife, Debbie; sister, Ollie Desotel, sister, Ethel Delatte; 28 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mildred Blount, husband, Boliva Wheat, sister, Lelia Turberville, brothers, Henry, Houston, and Calvin Raney; father, Clay Raney; and mother, Louise Hodges Raney. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, on Thursday, July 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, July 25, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev.
