Margaret White Pope passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was 65, a native of Woodville, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Carney & Mackey Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Albert Neal. Interment will be Southern Memorial Park. Survivors include her devoted former husband, Roosevelt Pope; two daughters, Teresita "Tina" King (Ponterel) and Montrice W. Wilson; a son, Roosevelt Derrick Pope (Debraca); a sister, Doretha Jackson; a brother, Dave White; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
