Mrs. Louis J. (Doris) Bonnecaze, a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she died on July 24, 2014, at Southside Gardens Retirement Community with her children by her side. She was 96 years of age. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church located at 749 East Blvd., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Greg Daigle and internment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. A native and life-long resident of Baton Rouge and a proud graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, she served as President of St. Joseph's Academy Alumnae, President of CPA Auxiliary, President of Delta Zeta Colonades, long time member of Catholic Daughters of America and Tout A Fait Dance Club. She also enjoyed her bridge club and sewing circle. Survived by her two sons and daughters in law, Louis Jr. (Buddy) and Julianne Bonnecaze, Randy and Carol Bonnecaze; three daughters and two sons in law, Doraine and Mark Wilson, Linda and Ronnie Stamper and Judy Bonnecaze all of Baton Rouge; twelve grandchildren, Elizabeth Bonnecaze, Lea Bonnecaze and husband Ian Levinson, Louis Bonnecaze III, Michelle Doherty and husband James, Melissa Grissom and husband Steven, Brett Bonnecaze and wife Elizabeth, Kristi Thomas and husband Chris, Mark Scott Wilson and wife Michelle, Stephanie Randazza and husband Ryan, Ryan Stamper, Benjamin Dubois and Danielle Dubois; and eighteen great grandchildren, Courtney Giamanco and husband Michael, T. J. LeMay and wife Dana, Kate Levinson, Patrick, Katherine and Michael Doherty, Adam, Jacob and Andrew Grissom, Camille and Emery Bonnecaze, Christopher, Cullen and Mary Catherine Thomas, Camille Doiron, Mark Arlo Wilson II, Tyler and Ellie Randazza. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Louis J. Bonnecaze, Sr., parents Oscar and Rosa Gomez, two brothers, Elmo and Randolph Gomez and granddaughter Janice LeMay. Pallbearers will be her sons in law and grandsons.
