Born February 18, 1936, he passed away in the comfort of his home amongst family on July 26, 2014 at 8:15 a.m. He was a native of Gonzales, a resident of Baton Rouge, and a Korean War veteran. He was a retired chemical tank truck driver, as well as an entrepreneur in the automotive service industry. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30 at Open Door Baptist Church, 7000 Glory Land Way, Denham Springs, beginning at 10 a.m. until services at noon. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dennis Schaffer. Interment will follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park. Preceded in death by his parents, Simon Joseph & Mae Arceneaux, Wilford & Mabell Gore; wife, Shirley Smith; son, William B. Arceneaux; brother, Richard Gore. He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Arceneaux; sister, Dolree Volpe; brother, Glen Gore; son, Robert Bruce and wife Gwen; daughters, Deann Clementson, Suzanne Crain and husband Carl, and Tina Sullivan; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
