TERRY O'NEAL, age 70 passed away at home in the loving company of his partner of 30 years, Victor Zotti, and with many loving friends and family, by his side. Terry was born April 13, 1944, in Denham Springs to Shelly and Wanda (Arceneaux) O'Neal. Shelly and Wanda were educators and Shelly served as Mayor of Denham Springs. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers, Michael and Patrick. Terry followed in the footsteps of his father as a real estate developer. The family developed several waterfront subdivisions including the one that bears his name, Terry Harbor. He made it a point to welcome every newcomer to Killian, as he could be seen driving through the neighborhood every day "making his rounds" visiting old friends and making new ones. Terry loved to travel, but was most happy being at home on the property he designed for his mother and father called Wandaland. Terry and Victor worked every day to maintain and improve their home so that visitors could enjoy the many parties and events held there. Dozens of weddings occurred at Wandaland, and only a Polo shirt was accepted as thanks for hosting the events. Terry and Victor also hosted the Mardi Gras boat parade, 4th of July fireworks, Christmas Fireworks, Easter egg hunts and the Killian Police Department's annual Kid's Fun Day. They were forever the consummate hosts! Terry's spirit, laughter, and bright blue eyes will be missed by all who knew him. Laughter is his greatest legacy. Victor would like to thank special friends Charlie and Cherie Taylor, Dr. Helen "ChiChi" Gaines and husband Sam Garza, Charlene Daniels, Roy Winston, Jr., and godson Danny Taylor, and all others who have been so helpful in this most difficult time. Terry's wishes were for cremation. A memorial service will be held at their home, 6:00pm on Saturday August 2nd. Informal attire please, Terry loved khaki shorts and polo's.
